Treasury and IRS to Issue Interest Payments

Per IR-2020-183, the Treasury and IRS have announced that interest payments will be sent to around 13.9 million individual taxpayers. Taxpayers who filed a 2019 return by the July 15, 2020, deadline and either received a refund in the past three months (or are scheduled to receive a refund) can expect to receive interest payments averaging about $18.
