steve-handrickSteven G. Handrick, CPA, CGMA, is stepping down after 12-years as the Managing Partner of Hawkins Ash CPAs. In this elected position, Handrick has served the firm for three, four-year terms. During this time, he oversaw five acquisitions, which expanded the firm’s footprint and strengthened its market presence in existing locations, growing the firm by almost 70%. The firm has grown under his direction to be an eight-market regional firm with 140 employees and 14 partners. He has guided the firm ahead of technology trends to create digital offices, allowing employees to work remotely and together across the two states, service clients nationwide, and become a paperless firm. He has worked to develop staff to be well-rounded business consultants for clients and take on leadership roles within and outside the firm.

“I am very pleased to have been part of leading Hawkins Ash CPAs, and am very happy to see the firm and employees well respected within the business and volunteer communities, both on a local and national level,” said Handrick.

As he continues his role as partner in the firm’s Green Bay office, Handrick looks forward to focusing on volunteering in the community, assisting clients, and mentoring staff. He also plans to take advantage of a less demanding travel schedule to spend time with family.

Handrick began his career with Hawkins Ash CPAs in its Marshfield, Wisconsin, office after completing his college degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1979. He moved to Green Bay in 1988 and became partner in 1990.
