Each year, QuickBooks discontinues its desktop version, which is three years old. The discontinuation, aka “disco,” policy will affect customers using QuickBooks version 2014. If you use any of the following QuickBooks services, they will be discontinued effective 5/31/2017:

  • Payroll services
  • 1099 e-file service
  • Technical support, online backup, Accountant’s Copy File Transfer service
  • Online banking
  • Credit card processing, check solution, bill pay, billing solution, online payment processing
  • Download latest exchange rates
  • Critical security updates

In order to avoid losing these services, you must upgrade to the latest version of QuickBooks prior to 5/31/2017. Please contact one of our QuickBooks Certified Pro-Advisors if you would like any assistance with your upgrade.
