Celebrating 60 Years

60 and counting-black-01Thank you for helping us reach this amazing milestone.

This year, Hawkins Ash CPAs will celebrate its 60th year in business. Sixty years ago, the firm began as a single office with 14 employees in La Crosse, WI, and has grown to employ more than 125 employees with 17 partners in eight offices and two states. The firm attributes its successes to clients, supportive communities and our dedicated employees.

“The partners and staff at Hawkins Ash CPAs are grateful to our clients and look forward to serving them for years to come,” said Abe Leis, Hawkins Ash CPAs’ Managing Partner.

Hawkins Ash CPAs was formed on August 1, 1956, as a result of merging the sole practice of Richard G. Hawkins and the partnership of James O. Ash and David D. Baptie in La Crosse, WI. In 1975, the firm opened its second office on the other side of Wisconsin, in Manitowoc. Then, it expanded to the center of the state, opening offices in Marshfield and Medford through acquisition in 1978. The firm’s first Minnesota office opened through an acquisition in 1983 in Winona. Another acquisition in 1988 resulted in an expansion to Green Bay, WI. The firm’s most recent mergers in 2013 expanded its Minnesota footprint, growing its Winona office and adding offices in Rochester and St. Charles, and expanded its Green Bay market. Known originally as Hawkins, Ash, Baptie & Company, LLP, the firm has operated as Hawkins Ash CPAs, LLP since 2013.
